Iteration 2


Crikey a lot has changed this time, there really is something to be said for playtesting and writing down feedback instead of just trying to remember it or make your own judgement calls.

So I changed the music and the camera angle. The music is a joyful fun horror vibe instead of the resi 1 soundtrack esque horror. The camera angle is a fun way to make the enemies spawning not seem so relentlessly obvious. Inspired by a quick playthrough of Geometry Wars Evolved on the Xbox Series S I bought to play some nostalgic 360 games I owned, recently.

I guess the other changes I've made, removing the timer (I kept the icon so I didnt forget to remove all the code that related to it), and the coffee item drops were annoying, so I decided to opt for a points system instead. The power ups dont break the game anymore if you collect more than 4 but they still drop entirely too often. I also added vampire enemies which are slightly faster but have no animation other than the running.

Not sure what to fix next but im aware of:

Timer related code and the icon need to be removed

The vampires need to either move instantly or have a spawning animation, and similar for their death, as it looks too much like they aren't reacting to being hit at all at the moment. 

I want to make the scenery more interesting, and add more enemies, but it might be time to start thinking about the RPG/idle clicker esque upgrades. Do I want to make vampire survivors or geometry wars that is the question.
